Course Vlog @ Palatka Golf Club (With Vintage Golf Clubs)

what is up welcome back to the channel at Palatka Golf Club in Palatka Florida very historic place built in 1925 so it's almost a hundred years old got Brian here dan is right there we just played help us we play two and a half hours 15 holes for the Donald Ross course with a ton of history it's just amazing but in the Pro Shop there's a bag of like used golf clubs spanning the last however many years 50 years last 50 years so we figured let's go play a handful of holes we each get one of the old drivers in the bag and an old iron in the bag we use our own putter free man game low man wins to preface it the reason why we're doing is Dan has been using a persimmon driver just for fun today so he's going to use his persimmon driver and we're basically we're going back and time with him for this [Music] [Music] dan jumped the gun on us and he already picked his on what iron did you pick old 962 Mitchell a CI pitching wedge Tommy Armour driver and regular butter now Brian I are gonna go pick our clubs this is the grab bag awesome open here they got a black eye so Brown what driver are you thinking I'm gonna choose that that power bill to do the power bill persimmon mainly because it has a fresh grip it's just hard to find in here I was eyeing this from the jump and I kind of said guys don't you dare take this warbird well your would this be from maybe younger uh mid-90s that's my driver Brian gets to pick an iron now feel like he just took the iron I want it I know that's what I wanted all right let's go I - I'm gonna take the Wilson staff tour baby what I heard is it an 8-iron Oh perfect here we go first hole 325 dogleg left look at the vintage of these golf clubs oh no a little bit of a little bit of tree trouble there way the situation Dan was left with in the trees he only has a wedge a putter and a driver so he's taking driver Vic found Brian's here what's the club here there 6-iron sit down oh that's in a back bunker that's gonna be really hard a 6-iron Dan after his punch out a little bump and run with all you have wedge I miss the screen this morning a little work left for bogey Brian's ball hung up didn't go in that back bunker so he's got this look at birdie whoa whoa that got airborne 61 apart second hole here at pole at cut is a beautiful straightaway 385 yards green as small as the kitchen table dude you play that hook beautifully yeah open the face just let her rip [Music] damn it sit like oops this is awesome this could be a tube I can make up for your double on the first I use a wrench find your vision know how to how much just sawed off your six Dan hit a fantastic shot a little long for yours truly Brian's right up here just got a little bump a 6-iron into the hill and got a putt at it [Music] yeah I'll think that good luck thanks man gotta keep the par streak going apparently sitting it [Music] [Music] not see my putz well I thought it was like I hit it hard it was breaking this way and then snapping I thought mine was maybe write it yeah don't do that at home folks this is just a beautiful par-3 190 yards dan has driver or wedge so he's going with driver oh sit down get by the bunker it's just hung up in the grass that's easy up and down it's shot one's a one one one's a one it's on camera with a ping I to 6-iron from late 80s yeah lot offset here Oh Oh yep your blade is old or new ish the audience knew I think it's one of the like 10 years within the last 10 years [Music] oh don't unplug don't go in the bunker that could be very tough to Airblade looks like this giant willow tree was Brian's friend and just kicked him out here perfect little bump and run angle for the the six iron this is gold oh yeah that's it good Andrew that was the dreaded cameraman went to follow the ball and the ball is still no I know how they feel now [Music] Ross see that wedge PCI tech Brian for the unlikeliest of bars not so good for two bars in a row that's the street in this game [Music] so let me [Music] oh nothing a triple bogey lead to last how do you feel at this point about your club selection I mean I do the best with what I was given you took it he did not give yeah I don't know nothing was given I'm happy with my clubs it's not happy with my 8-iron bunker play three holes in two holes left the last two are back-to-back par-5 your boy needs some help that triple bogey 6 didn't help I'm now for over Dan is three over and Brian is two over the view from the fourth C box he goes off into the right it's really awesome awesome far for par-5 short he has the lead in just upon further inspection is that like a crack pair or potential I don't want that to cost [Music] pretty obvious we're all trying to not hit it out of bounds yeah yeah remember this willow tree that Brian hit on the par 3 while he hit it again is its ball from the par 3 was right there now it's right here well as long as I can hook that 6-iron like I did every other time I did it yeah [Music] dan also found a little trouble in the back did I here we go second shot oh no I think I hit the ground early enough Wow that was it was hooking a lot its snap oh no it's like gorgeous I mean the greens like over behind that tree but it was really a shot right there Dan laid up to a great yardage for wedge here [Music] really good miss do you bump it or do you add loft nope thought I hit a real good one they just chased off back Brian right there [Music] [Music] stay to over par last hole last Wow bid pull back to back another par-5 a lot of curve to the right on this one Brian's going with 6-iron old strategy on one stroke lead he just wants to protect it I thought I guess yeah I mean thank you I just go 6-iron 6-iron 6-iron like a little layup that I got it take another normal golf ball right and let us force to make a mistake yep [Music] smooth still can't see the green from back here another nice little runner [Music] it's gonna happen to really marinate next one then drive her off the deck little bleeder right up on that green Oh if this misses the bunker this is really good no it's they just short of it good leave action yeah I don't know how you thin scull it but I did Brian's just trying to make par here and force us to make birdie to force extra holes oh what a bounce it's disappeared [Music] anther shot here little thin more cut out from there brian has a very interesting fluffy bermuda long Wow that's for 6-iron just get it right off the top green he has his destiny in his hands a good shot here and he pretty much secures the w-whoa a little work they don't work for that part [Music] and in the car so he finishes it for over Brian for the win no extra holes we go we finished up all for over par through five holes so sudden death it's the sixth hole just an awesome par-3 of black got a flag is tucked behind the bunker there's rolls long right the challenge for the wedge and the six iron iron so much 158 to the flag took advantage of the advantage going with the real high team that face up that is so good what a shot what a shot Oh My heavens that is so good that face was so open what a shot oh you stymied me so badly look how badly you stymie me with your terrible pipe okay that's good pick it up oh wow no that's right in the line yeah wha what apart what up are there's this time I think Brian's going to get a 6-iron to try to jump it over or you could use the back of the spurt the butter that's know in the comments what would you do in this situation with a stymie with only a driver a 6-iron a nut butter [Applause] you sir
