This is going to tell you everything you need to know about the two parties.
Hi and welcome to Flossum Talk. I'm Tashi Floor, journalist, Hollywood truth teller,
and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion. First of all, thank you so much for
all your feedback on my video yesterday that I published. I have to remind everyone that that
video is a satire. I'm not planning to sue Blake Lively. I would never dream of abusing the legal
system like that. I just made the video to prove the point that Blake Lively's case is so weak and
that anyone who's ever had any experiences at work basically could file the same kind of lawsuit and
probably have a stronger case. So that was my point of that video. I hope I didn't get anyone's
hopes up that there will be more legal drama. But as I said, I really, really appreciate the
enthusiasm and all your supports. Okay, so the year is coming to an end and that's why I guess
People Magazine reached out to Blake Lively's attorneys and to Justin Bologna's attorneys
to get a statement of what have happened this year and where they are now. This is going to tell you
everything you need to know about the two parties because again, Blake Lively really
gets to prove who she is and what she stands for. Also, I wanted to take the opportunity here to
look into the double standards and the hypocrisy of Blake Lively's attorneys. Just to put things
in a little bit of a perspective from all the headlines that circulated last week, I want to
share some mind-blowing questions that Blake Lively's team asked Justin Baldoni during his
deposition. Also, a little source inside the industry told me that the entire industry now
is worrying about one specific thing that no one mentioned in this lawsuit so far. Also,
guess who's getting married and guess who's not invited. Okay, so let's get into this People
article because as I said, I feel like this article says everything you need to know about
this case. So, they reached out I assume to both sides here and asked them to give a statement at
the end of the year. So, we'll start with Blake Lively. So, this is what her attorney says which
means this is basically what Blake Lively says because they have run this through them and I
think Blake and Ryan probably put this together. Maybe even Ryan just did it by himself. We've seen
how these things work already so that would be my wild guess of what happened here allegedly.
So, this statement comes from Ezra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb who are the two main lawyers in Blake
Lively's team of I think about 150 attorneys and they're saying one year ago Blake Lively filed a
complaint with the California Civil Rights Department to advocate for a safe workplace
following experiences she and others had while working on the film It Ends With Us.
So, others. Let's get to that first. Who are these others? Jenny Slate because she said that
Justin Baldoni had pointed at her leather pants on one occasion saying that the pants look sexy.
Blake is really warm. She really asks a lot of beautiful questions.
She's very caring and willing to share and for me that's kind of like it's all I like. You know,
it's like my favorite thing. It's like I just really like that and I'm very chatty and I felt
like we fell right into a chatty on-set vibe that then became deep and now I'm really grateful for
Is that the others or are they referring to the producer Alex Sachs who said that once
Justin Baldoni got really frustrated on the set and he did this to a chair next to her?
Those are the two only incidents that we know so far that anyone has ever complained about
and they didn't even have the guts to put that in the lawsuit. No, they added that later on
and it continues. According to Hudson and Gottlieb, Lively has remained steadfast despite
what they describe as sustained efforts to undermine her credibility. Undermine her
credibility. All we've seen so far is that the Wayfair parties and Justin Baldoni have asked
Blake Lively for evidence to prove her claims and they're saying that that is undermining her
credibility. If she had evidence, she could actually restore her credibility but instead
she has chosen to keep all her evidence a secret and redact everything that she says that is going
to prove her claims. She could also have strengthened her credibility by having some witnesses
and maybe some other people who could support to have witnessed what she said actually happened.
We haven't seen that either. So my point is it's not the Wayfair parties who have undermined her
claims. She has undermined her claims and here comes a really good part. Over the past year,
Blake has preserved against a billionaire finance attempt to bury her, her family and her businesses
through retaliatory lawsuits and an aggressive media and digital campaign. Poor Blake. She only
has 12 lawyers and I think three companies working for her and her husband is a billionaire
and they have powerful friends all over this industry. No wonder she didn't stand a chance
against the Wayfair parties and the aggressive media that she's talking about which has basically
been on her side 99% of the time and whenever they're reporting on anything coming from Justin
Baldoni, it is about his evidence to defend himself against her. Oh my gosh. Okay and here
we go. With their lawsuits thrown out and her claim set for trial in May, Ms. Lively is more
determined than ever to expose the system that operates behind the scenes to silence and discredit
women who speak up. What system is she talking about here? That's what I am wondering about.
Is it the system that allows an actress to take over a movie and put the director in the basement
on his own premiere and then pressure him and the studio to give her a producer credit on the film
afterwards? Is that the system? And Blake Lively being silenced. I've never seen her being silenced.
She went to the New York Times with this story. How is that being silenced? You use the biggest
megaphone almost in the world to get your word out and then you claim you're being silenced?
Yeah and that's all they have to say about what happened this year. Okay and here the article
continues with statements from Brian Friedman on behalf of the Wayfair parties. To me when I read
this, I was like this comes straight from Justin Baldoni, Jamie Heath and Steve Sarawitz.
This is exactly the kind of pattern that they've shown throughout this entire year, throughout
these lawsuits, what they really stand for. And I bet you when Blake Lively's attorneys read these
statements, they were thinking to themselves, oh my god we look so off. We should have said something
about being grateful. We forgot about that. Anyways, listen to this. My clients are deeply grateful for
the support and kind words they received over the past year. We trust that the truth will ultimately
prevail and the care that so many have shown has been a meaningful source of strength during an
incredibly challenging time. They start off by thanking people and showing how grateful they are
for all the support that they received. And then they continue saying that at the same time we
recognize that there are many other issues affecting the world that deserve even greater
attention and compassion, particularly at this time of year. We hope the focus remains on supporting
those who need it the most and that we can continue to look out for one another this holiday season.
Doesn't this just say it all? If you ever wondered who to believe here and who's coming from a place
of truth, it just tells you everything you need to know about this case. It tells you everything
about who Blake Lively is and who Justin Baldoni is. In Blake's statement it was all about herself.
It was all about her voice being silenced. It was all about her struggle to fight the system.
Here it is all about all of us as human beings. It's all about being grateful. It's all about
showing support. It is all about staying grounded. So yeah, at the end here they're mentioning how
much money Blake Lively is asking for, which I thought was so fitting into this article to end it like
in her filing Lively alleged S.A.H. and claimed she faced retaliation after raising concerns and
she's now seeking 160 million dollars in damages and we have to add all the punitive damages and
everything here. So it adds up to 650 million dollars which Blake Lively is planning to donate
to women who can't speak up. Just kidding, she's not planning to donate anything. Of course
she's planning to keep all that money to herself. Has she done anything this year that's not
been selfish? I can't point out anything. She has pointed to some charity organizations
whenever there's a bad headline about her in the media. Then she's like oh look at this there's
some people in need, they're homeless people, they're children. But she hasn't pledged any
money to any of those organizations. She's just telling us that we should do it and talking about
all these headlines that Blake Lively's team are accusing Justine Baldoni's team of creating
against her to smear her. Everyone remember these kind of articles that appeared last week.
It started in Variety and then everyone picked it up and I spoke a lot about it how it's so
misleading this headline and it's nothing recent that happened and these questions were not asked
directly to Blake Lively, it was asked to an expert. Anyways just to put this in perspective
and to show everyone the hypocrisy here and the double standards of Blake Lively's attorneys,
I just wanted to read a couple of questions that they asked Justine Baldoni in his deposition.
Do you have any idea whether or not your college girlfriend would agree with the way you have
remembered the events relating to the losing of your virginity? That's a question that they asked
Justine and he's even answering and he says I don't know what I don't know what she would think,
I don't know who she is anymore and then they're saying but you thought it was okay to go on TV
and tell the world that your college girlfriend had S.A.G.U. without ever talking to her about it.
Isn't that interesting that question especially since their client Blake Lively went to the
biggest newspaper to tell her story about how she was S.A.G.U. by Justine Baldoni, did she reach out
to him and ask him about that first? No, but the attorneys think that Justine Baldoni should have
done that and he's answering really well he says I wasn't aware I needed to ask her permission to
share my story. He was telling this story and kept her anonymous obviously and they're saying
that and they're pointing that out as being like I don't know unethical or something and then
there's another incident here that Justine has been speaking about publicly when he felt unsafe
and he felt that he was being S.A.G.U. by this producer and as I said he told this story already
and now of course her lawyers are going to use this also against him so then they ask
as you sit here today this is the first example that you brought up in response to my question
of whether you've ever been S.A.G.U. yes that's my first response I think you asked me if I talked
about it publicly okay yes why did you feel harassed by what this producer did and Justine
responds and he says well he was asking me to get naked in the hot tub with him and standing very
close to me with his naked thingy like intentionally walking close to my face Justine is
saying and then the lawyers asking this blew my mind you were bigger and stronger than this guy
right I would imagine I was Justine says and then they're saying this wasn't someone the size of
Dwayne Johnson or The Rock or something like that well here's an interesting fact Dwayne Johnson and
The Rock is the same person but just imagine they ask that question and then Justine says it was not
and then they say so if it had come to it you probably could have knocked this guy out Justine
saying I'm not much of a fighter I would have left Mr. Gottlieb continues you didn't work for the guy
right no so you had no employment relationship with him I didn't okay did you do you know who
he was I think he told me his name he says and Gottlieb continues did you try and find him after
the incident and talk to him about it why would he do that I mean this is so insane why on earth
would he try to find this guy who made him feel so uncomfortable and try to talk to him about it
afterwards oh my god okay did you find him before you talked about this event in Glamour magazine
and he says no I didn't and then Gottlieb continues you didn't want to give him an
opportunity to take accountability for his action and make it right and Justine says I didn't name
him and then and then it continues to say but you described him and described who he was
friends with and the spa you were in and then Justine says I don't I don't know if I described
who his friends were he wasn't giving up his name and this again goes back to Blake Lively so she
never gave Justine an opportunity to make things right before she went to New York Times and before
she filed her legal before she filed her lawsuits and now they're saying like shouldn't you have
done that before going to Glamour and talk about your trauma this is called victim blaming and then
he asked do you know his name why you sit here today and he says no so what was the point of
this questioning this to me says that they have absolutely no ethics no moral whatsoever because
what they just did to Justine here is what they're attacking him for doing against Blake Lively
they are using his vulnerability and they're using his trauma from the past against him and it also
points out if you're a man and this happens to you you can just fight because you have muscles
and you're maybe bigger than this guy so you're blaming the person for not standing up for himself
because he's a man this is a huge problem because a lot of men experience being abused and it carries
a lot of shame with it and when you read this you understand why a lot of men choose not to actually
go public with these things because this is what happens someone like Michael Gottlieb will attack
you and will blame you for not standing up for yourself he's basically minimizing everything
that Justine Baldoni has experienced because he's a man okay anyways I wanted to touch upon this
other thing that someone mentioned to me I have some sources out here that I speak with
regularly and this person pointed out something to me that I didn't think about earlier and he
also says that the industry is watching this and waiting for something to happen here and he's
talking about the director's guilt of America and their role in this because they are supposed to
protect the director of a movie and if they allow something like this to happen that an actress
is hired and comes in to a movie production and then basically takes over everything from the
director and ends up basically editing it and you know everything else that she took over
why did director's guilt not step in and stop this and this person is saying that they probably have
to change their rules after this so something like this could never happen again so yes both
director's guilt of America and also I think producer's guilt of America how are they going to
handle these situations or similar situations in the future when now Blake Lively has showed the
playbook for other actresses like this is what you can do you just steadily start taking over the
and if the person and if the director or if the production company doesn't agree with you then
you just put pressure on them and say that I refuse to promote this movie and this is what she did
and she also pressured Sony the same way and that ended up with everyone supporting a letter for her
to the producer's guilt of America and they gave her the producer mark and the only reason that
she received that producer mark was because she pressured everyone into signing that letter and
if this becomes accepted that's a very big problem for all productions in Hollywood because this
signals that an actress can walk over everybody and the guilts can do nothing about it and that's
the whole reason why there are guilts they're supposed to be there to protect people and they
have failed so far anyway some good news here for Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper they are according
to this article in the Daily Mail they're getting married in 2026 and guess who's not invited this is
my wild guess allegedly I don't think Blake Lively is going to get invited to this wedding it's funny
because as you know she dragged Bradley Cooper into this mess as well because she invited him
to one of her early screenings he was there and I also think Gigi Hadid was at the screening and
Taylor Swift was there so all these people who have been named in her lawsuit I guess are seeing
her and Ryan as kryptonite right now and of course Gigi is on team Taylor here and she's never going
to invite Blake Lively or Ryan Reynolds to her wedding but I do wish them all the happiness in
the world I wanted to end this episode with a little reminder from what happened earlier this
year I just saw this video was posted again on Reddit and I remember talking about it and I just
think this is just such a good symbol of this lawsuit and what this has been all about from
the beginning so this is when Blake Lively was up on the stage on Times 100 when she was named one of
the most influential people in the world and she had her mother there and she had Ryan Reynolds
there and she had this powerful speech about women and about how her mother once experienced
some trauma from a person who abused her and this video shows how her mother was sitting next to
yes I think that says it all anyways that's it for me you guys I wish you all a merry Christmas
happy Hanukkah happy holiday happy Tuesday whatever I just want you to be happy and tomorrow
I'm celebrating Christmas so I'm not gonna upload an episode tomorrow because that's the Scandinavian
day of celebrating Christmas it's Christmas Eve on the 24th but I will be posting during Christmas
