Hi everyone, it's Tasha. Welcome or welcome back to my channel.
So full disclosure, this week's video was supposed to be a thrift and style video.
However, while I did hit several thrift shops, I didn't really find a lot, only a couple of items,
not really enough for a full video for you. So instead, I decided I'm going to show you
a few retail items that I picked up this week from both At Home and also from Target.
Now near me, within about 20 minutes or so, there is an At Home store. You can also look online,
they sell a lot of their items on their website as well. When I first walked into this store,
which I don't hit up very often, but I did see some really beautiful things. This cloche was
a little bit high at $50 for the large size and a smaller size beside it also for $35.
So I passed on those, but they were super pretty. They also had lots of beautiful glassware,
such as these apothecary jars, also I think called bonbon jars. Sometimes these were really pretty
and very stylish and on trend right now. These were in the $20 to $30 range depending on the size,
but I did pick up this glass cloche. Now I like this one because of the size and the price.
This was $19.99 and it is a nice large 12.5 inch tall one with the bottom piece.
Just for example, over at Magee & Co, you can get an 8 inch cloche, just the top part for $44.
So I thought that this one, which included the bottom part, making it a lot easier to put
a candle on, for instance, along with a nice heavy top cloche was a great deal for $19.99.
So I brought that one home for me and I'm first just going to be trying out styling it with a
simple candle inside. I did pick up both of these candles from At Home as well and they were quite
affordable at $5.99 and $6.99 for most all of their candle styles like that and these pillar shapes.
They have so, so many and that's one of the nice things about an At Home store
is they're typically very large. Ours used to be a Kmart store so you can imagine it's just
very large, full of home decor items. This pillar candle doesn't have any scent,
which I actually kind of like. I am prone to headaches and migraines so I don't like a lot
of strong scents. Sometimes I just want an unscented one that has a nice glow being lit
without the scent. So I think that this was a nice find and I'm going to try and style this
other way as well. The lighter that you saw me use is actually a new piece as well that I picked
up from Target. This is new from the Magnolia Home line for their spring collection and I
thought this was pretty unique. It's rechargeable which is the first one like this that I've owned
so it doesn't produce a flame. Instead it actually just produces this little zap here that you can
light your candles with and also I'm thinking that this might end up lasting longer because
it won't run out of fluid. So I will link that for you. I thought it was very pretty with the
two-toned gold and silver as well. Now back at At Home one of the things they have so many of are
vases and vessels. There are several huge aisles just full of all different colors and styles of
vases and vessels and I noticed for this spring they have out lots of pieces that have lids like
different variations of a ginger jar. I know a lot of people really like the blue and white and they
do have several sections dedicated to that blue and white whether it's like this more water
color version of it or this classic crisp blue and white. I love this piece with this little lid
that comes off. This is $12.99. It's a ginger jar and all the little pieces for just a pop. This one
too like a bigger size ginger jar is really pretty. Let's see if I can figure out the price without
breaking anything. I broke something. So yes it was embarrassing. I had a mishap in the ginger jar
section. Fortunately it was just a very small and inexpensive piece that ended up breaking and they
were very kind about it and I just continued shopping but it was pretty embarrassing. But
if you are looking for a ginger jar that are really trendy right now this is a good place to
look if you have one close to you. They even had a woven version down on the bottom shelf of kind of
where I'm looking right there and I also noticed that they have a pretty nice dupe here for this
theirs is only $39 versus $200 so just a really nice place to pop in every once in a while and
take a good look around for some deals. I love this one. This is actually a really nice big size.
I did end up bringing that one home with me. It was $29.99 which I thought was a pretty good deal
for such a substantial piece and I'm ending up styling that one in our family room. We have this
console table that I DIY'd that's right behind the sofa in between it and the wall just a space
for some extra decor and some extra layering and I think that that works really nicely there. I
could certainly take all my remotes out of that wooden bowl and put them inside the box to
completely hide them and shuffle things around a little bit more. So I'm still deciding what I want
to place in the box whether it's remotes or something else but these pieces are so nice to
hide things away and look beautiful at the same time. And there were some other really pretty
marble pieces at At Home as well like this one for $20. It did remind me of the green marble
trays available at Magee & Co. Those are nesting trays. The small one is $34 and the large one is
$44 but again I thought it was pretty good for $19.99 for the square one. They had some deep
red and burgundy toned marble pieces. This one that I'm holding is $24.99. There are also some
really pretty outdoor rug options that are on clearance they say and so I really like this one
with the stripes. It has some of the cool tones and some of the warm tones together which I like.
My daughter is hiding behind these so that's why they're moving. I really really like this one too
with this green this like kind of sage green color. This is super pretty and here's the prices
for the different sizes. That's a really good price I think for $1.19 for the big 8x10. That's
actually really good. There's also this beautiful woven one that may or may not be on clearance but
here's the prices for the sizes for this one. I really like the feel of this. I checked out most
every section at At Home at least briefly and I stopped by the wooden area to check out some of
the different cutting boards and things like that and while I didn't get a cutting board I did end
up finding this wooden riser in that section. I totally wasn't looking for one but I really like
the shape and size of this one and thought it would work perfectly in my kitchen where I currently
just had a flat cutting board that I was using to corral some items. Now instead I have this one
on the riser legs and I think it looks a lot more polished. This was more than I wanted to pay for
it to be honest with you. It was $40 however with it being the only one that was there I knew that
I could probably not just come back and expect it to still be there on sale so I went ahead and got
it since it seemed to be the perfect size. So I picked up this mortar and pestle set from a yard
sale for just a couple of dollars. A lot of you probably saw that video at the end of last year.
I think it looks great paired with this wooden piece as well as this little touch lamp that I
picked up from TJ Maxx a couple of months ago. I really love the curve on that as well as the
linen shade and then this little green bowl is something that's from a set from Magnolia
and it is the smallest in a set of three French style bowls. I really love this one and I do use
all three of the pieces from that set. This one is just being used for some garlic here on this
little riser that we keep. Now this print I picked up a good year ago at least. It still has the
price tag on it at three dollars and fifty cents from a thrift store over in Mebane, North Carolina
and I really like this one for the kitchen. I like how it adds just a little tiny bit of muted color
and is a great layering piece. I had it on the wall on the other side of the kitchen but I think
it will work really well here to hide that ugly outlet on this little riser situation.
And in last week's video I mentioned I was waiting on some picture frames to arrive from a Target
order hoping I could squeeze them into last week's video. They didn't make that on time
but they are here now and they were worth waiting for. I think these are really pretty. They're from
the new Studio McGee spring line. I love the heaviness of them and also the twisted silver
and how it has a little bit of texture in it. I just printed out from my local CVS a couple of
black and white photos of our daughter from some happy times and I'm putting these next to each
other on her hutch. One of these is a 5x7 and one is a 4x6 and I think that these pair really well
with each other. You could sit them right next to each other and stagger them. They look really
beautiful. Now the last thing that I was looking for at At Home were Christmas items being as it's
midway through January however I noticed that their Christmas stuff was 75% off so I just cast
a really quick eye and I came across this large outdoor bow that is over three feet long and it's
just a nice statement piece. It was $99 originally on sale for $25 after the 75% off and I thought
this could look really sweet for Christmas so I had to go ahead and grab that to put away for next
year. It's so big. Oh my goodness. I knew it was big but okay this is how big this thing is.
It's gonna look amazing on the house I think. When I showed my husband and told him about this
excellent deal he was he was not very impressed. He was just like okay I don't know why he's not
getting with the picture but I thought that a giant bow on your house like maybe over the garage
or something I thought it would look so cute so I just want to check out what it looks like before
I store it away for Christmas. Okay I didn't fully realize like I should have that this has glitter
all over it so I'm not going to take it fully out inside the house but it should be fine since it's
going on the outside of the house you know but this is what it looks like I must have it on some
sort of sparkle setting with the lights which you can change I'm sure but it's very large it's gonna
look so cute and it has I think these are the two like little tail parts of the bow that I would
attach to the right place I'm sure down here when the time comes but okay. And I did pick up one last
item or rather a whole set of this dinnerware this carved edge set from the Magnolia Home
Hearth and Hand line. I really like the shape of these I love the color even more in person than I
did from looking on the website however there was one thing about these that I really didn't like
and I like these enough to buy a whole new set I was going to replace my existing dishes but I don't
know if you can tell from that shot but I'll show you again in a moment they have each one of them
these six kind of white circles in the center on the bottom and I don't think those are intentional
I think there's some sort of byproduct of the manufacturing process or at least that's what it
looks like to me and I can't unsee them now so unfortunately those six circles have kind of ruined
this set for me and I'm going to be taking them back but that is really sad because I was so
excited about these I think they're really beautiful otherwise and so that was what I got
up to this week I hope that you enjoyed seeing what I got from these two retail stores and
hopefully I'll be able to get back to the thrift content next week if I can find a few more items
to share with you if you enjoyed today's video go ahead and hit the like button for me leave me a
comment letting me know what you enjoyed I love to read your comments and in the meantime I hope
everyone listening has an absolutely fantastic week and I'll see you at the next video
