During strikes on Ukraine, Russian aircraft launched an FAB at the Belgorod region. The bomb fell on a residential area in the city of Stroitel. The local channel "Pepel Belgorod" reported on the incident. According to him, the FAB fell on the Bykovsky microdistrict overnight, knocking out power lines. As a result, part of the city was left without power. The bomb itself did not detonate. It is buried in the ground. Authorities were evacuating the population. "The morning after the incident, territorial defense forces went around all the houses in the neighborhood and asked residents to leave ," the Russian outlet reported. It's worth noting that Russian combat aircraft regularly drop bombs on their own and occupied territories during strikes on Ukraine. Experts attribute this to the poor quality of their FAB and KAB.
Earlier, the munition that fell on the city of Belgorod turned out to be a Russian aerial bomb. It fell on a residential neighborhood, creating a massive crater. Earlier, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported an "emergency incident" on Gubkin Street, where a "crater from a falling munition" was recorded. However, he did not specify who fired the projectile or where it was launched. Sources claim the munition is a FAB-500 aerial bomb, which a Russian aircraft attempted to launch unsuccessfully at Ukraine. Fortunately for local residents, the aerial bomb failed to detonate, but it did create a crater approximately 20 meters deep in the ground. The munition landed close to a residential building, posing a real threat to local residents. As a result of the incident, approximately 1,600 people, including 272 children, were evacuated from three adjacent apartment buildings. Forty-three of the evacuees were placed in temporary shelters, while the rest went to stay with relatives and friends. Bomb disposal experts arrived at the scene, the area was cordoned off by police, and traffic in the area was closed. It's worth noting that Russian aircraft regularly drop missiles and bombs on their own and occupied territories when shelling Ukraine. Hundreds of such incidents have been recorded in recent years. Russian media and authorities are silent about these incidents.
