An apocalyptic scenario awaits Russians: Ukrainians burn Moscow down

Military doctor and propagandist Yuriy Yevich stated that he does not rule out a large-scale offensive by the Ukrainian Defense Forces into Russian territory and even a scenario in which military action could reach Moscow. The relevant fragment of the Z-patriot's speech was published online. Reflecting on the progress of the war, the propagandist recalled Napoleon's campaign against Russia and stated that the current situation could develop to the point of a large-scale invasion of Ukrainian troops deep into Russian territory.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets to the point where the enemy burns Moscow down,” Yevich said.

In this way, he criticized the Russian military-political leadership and society for, in his view, insufficient mobilization of resources for the war against Ukraine. In his arguments, Yevich effectively paints an apocalyptic scenario for Russians, in which the realization of the scale of the war will only come after the fighting moves directly to the Russian capital.

Yuriy Yevich is known for supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine and participating in the war on the Russian side since 2014. Recently, Ukraine has fired its largest drone attack on the Moscow region, the mayor has said, hitting the city's main oil refinery and a residential building.

Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 450 drones heading for the capital had been shot down in what he called "the most massive" attack. The region's governor said at least two people were killed and 20 injured.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed Kyiv had hit a "key" Russian oil facility and a logistics site in the region with drones and missiles, representing "billions of dollars that sustain the war machine".

Ukrainian officials meanwhile said nine people, including three children, had been killed in Russian attacks in the Kyiv and Sumy regions.

Russia and Ukraine have recently intensified their strikes, targeting energy-generating and transport facilities, as well as major logistics hubs. The site supplies more than a third of the Moscow region's fuel, according to the defence ministry in Kyiv, and some of its petrol, diesel and aviation fuel go to Russia's military.

Ukraine's defence minister said attacking such facilities "directly undermines the enemy's ability to continue its war of aggression and supply its military formations".
