Black and White Photography | "Sal Patalano" | Photographer Platform

Sal Patalano was born in Gaeta, Italy. Sal grew up in Somerville, MA., did his undergraduate work in New Mexico and became a US citizen in El Paso, Texas. He received his Master’s degree in Finance from Bentley (University) College while working full time. Patalano retired from Corporate America in 2016 after 30 years. Since that time, he has been photographing total strangers that he meets on the street.

In Sal's own words:
"I now live in Tampa, Florida, USA. It gives me the opportunity to shoot in two of my favorite places: Ybor City 7th Avenue and St. Petersburg Central Avenue.
I would like to thank all the folks that have allowed me to photograph them for this project. I especially want to thank those whom I briefly met, and who trusted me enough to tell me their names and shared a bit about their lives, those folks who don’t have the choice of closing their doors and saying no, those folks who don’t have the luxury of privacy… those folks whose road home is the street. To you, thank you."
