Iran's National Security Council chief, Mohsen Rezaei, threatens regional countries in the event of a resumption of full-scale military action against the United States.

"If the war resumes, many underwater cables, data centers, artificial intelligence facilities, and other assets in the region will be destroyed. The United States has very valuable assets in the UAE and near the Strait of Hormuz that we have not yet included among our targets," Rezai said. He added that in the event of a new round of confrontation, they will be prepared to engage the enemy, having a more extensive and detailed action plan.

As previously reported, behind-the-scenes debates continue in Washington and Jerusalem regarding a possible military operation against Iran and future strategy toward Tehran. Although the US has now dropped one of its demands, Israeli leadership remains divided on security matters.

According to the journalist, IDF Chief of Staff Zamir risks finding himself in the minority during closed discussions.

Mohsen Rezaei said that Iran is considering a new phase in its standoff with the United States, which would involve the creation of a special Economic Warfare Council. Tehran intends to use control of the Strait of Hormuz as a tool for pressure on Washington and warns that it will not agree to a resumption of negotiations without meeting its demands. Rezaei emphasized that the proposed structure should demonstrate to US President Donald Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent what Iran is capable of in the face of economic confrontation.

Thus, the Iranian leadership is considering the possibility of institutionalizing an economic war against the United States, while simultaneously increasing pressure on the American administration on issues of security and shipping in the Persian Gulf.

Rezaei paid special attention to the negotiations between Tehran and Washington, which, according to him, are continuing through intermediaries.

According to him, over the past two months, the US has reached out to Iran three times through various diplomatic channels. Pakistan, Qatar, and Iraq acted as intermediaries.

About two weeks ago, Tehran presented Washington with seven conditions, the fulfillment of which it considers necessary for further dialogue.

The Iranian side warned that until these demands are accepted, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed to the Americans and negotiations will not resume.

Rezaei reported that the US had already presented its response. Some Iranian demands had been accepted, while others, according to Tehran, remained unclear.

In this regard, Iran considers the American proposal insufficient and expects further clarification from Washington.

A separate area of potential economic confrontation will be the Strait of Hormuz, which is of strategic importance for international supplies of oil and other energy resources.

Rezaei said that the security of the Persian Gulf is impossible without Iran's participation in managing this sea route.

According to him, control over the strait is not only an instrument of geopolitical influence, but also the country's most important economic resource.

At the same time, the Iranian leadership is considering broader opportunities to generate revenue from the use of the strategic route, not limited to closing shipping or introducing tolls for the passage of ships.
