NYC weather forecast (2 p.m. update): Severe storms approaching Tri-State

They're going to get a little blustery as we get some of those storms coming in. And then tomorrow, I think it'll be very windy and chilly across the region. It's mild all across the Northeast. We can see here we're sort of in this wedge between the warm front and the cold front. But that cold front we're watching coming in here for later this afternoon, it's going to produce some rain. And then behind it, it's much cooler and drier. We're in this wedge of warmer air up and down the eastern seaboard. So everyone's experiencing above normal temperatures. But that cooler air to the west, that's headed in our direction. temperatures are in the 50s in Chicago, Minneapolis, I know, listen girl, get ready, it was gonna come eventually, right? It was, and tomorrow those are going to be our high temperatures but we're also going to have to factor in a gusty wind and so it's going to feel like the 40s throughout much of the day on Saturday, so here's a look at the future cast, we have that line of showers developing here around 4 or 5 o'clock, look at that, it really kind of blows up around five, six o'clock we'll have showers and storms rolling through into the city at that time, unfortunately again that's the evening commute, that's our evening that's your Friday night folks, I know, and if you have Friday night plans, especially in and around the city, you're going to have to bear with some wet weather. It's going to be on and off throughout the evening. Overnight, we still have showers rolling through here. Tomorrow morning, we'll have showers very early. I think they'll be tapering off between, let's say, 8 and 10 a.m., and then the sun will come through. But it will be cold, so don't be fooled as you look outside your window because temperatures will be in the 50s. Again, factor in a wind. It will feel like the 40s throughout the day on Saturday. Sunday looking good not as windy plenty of sunshine still cool but a very nice fall day is on tap for us as we go into the second half of the weekend okay today look at these highs 70s i mean this is really nice weather but tonight we drop back into the 40s 30s rain and cold boom boom boom it's coming right in it's coming right in for us so early shower tomorrow look at that we're at 676 today 53 tomorrow right so much cooler not as windy but still a breeze on sunday 56 so it's still chilly and then next week we're back into the 60s monday's going to be interesting though we're watching for the development of a coastal low that could bring a good amount of rainfall on monday so that's something we'll be talking about could be another very white day but of course you need some time because it can change uh it's a little far out yeah we'll see how that goes so sunday that's the only good day it looks like it's a little colder but if we get that sun out there could be a nice day i think it'll be nice for everyone that wants the fall weather you'll have it this weekend for sure yeah all right well thank you so much you're welcome let you head back up there maybe you'll take a break before well i gotta you got more work to do i do more work to do.
