USC Trojans discuss their running game
Nov 3, 2026
You talked about timely plays
and kind of last week struggling to get those at the right time.
It seems like today, offensively and defensively,
you got key plays at the right time.
What was the big difference between those two?
I mean, we played better in the situations.
You know, the red zone was obviously...
Maybe the biggest differential in the game, right?
How well we played defensively in the red zone.
I mean, we were awesome, and that's not an easy offense to stop.
In the red zone, the threats they have, and obviously,
you know, being able to run the ball as well.
So I thought, like Gary called, a really good game.
I thought our guys executed their best in those moments.
And then, obviously, offensively,
we were able to get things done as well.
So, um,
That's what these games come down to.
You've got two really good teams.
There's two really good teams on the field.
What's two of the best teams in the country
on the field right there?
And it's going to come down
to who plays the situation best,
and we did it tonight.
And you seem to be savoring the moment,
celebrating that every teammate
that's walked through the tunnel.
What does this mean for you and for USC?
Yeah, it's a huge team win.
I mean, shout out to the defense.
getting it done.
Yeah, I was just making sure
everybody got back to the line upon it.
I'm changing the run game
from last week to this week.
What do you think the big difference was?
I thought the backs running harder.
That's a tough front to run the football on.
I mean, you've got to really go work,
and we stayed more patient with it.
You know, having LeMo back, you know, and a little bit healthier than he's been.
I thought, you know, that provided a real spark for sure.
Now we're just more patient with it.
I thought the Lions stepped up, did some really good things.
You know, we were just a tick off the other week,
and then I didn't do a good job staying with it.
Both things were better tonight.
