And of course we're here at James Tallarico's watch party
in Austin where there are hundreds
of people out here just excited, celebrating.
They're excited that James Tallarico has been
or it appears to have pulled it off tonight against Ken Paxton.
We got many of the voters
out here. What do you guys think about tonight?
I'm so excited. I mean the energy is there.
We just want to bring everything back to like peace, unity.
I know that sounds cliche.
But I feel like this city, this country is in civil unrest.
And we're all here because we believe in something bigger.
And it's going there.
All right.
And your thoughts, ma'am, about the possible win.
Soon as we get it official, we'll let you know.
I am so excited.
I am ready for it.
I just, I don't know.
That's all I got.
I'm so excited.
What motivated you?
What made you get out to vote?
Was there anything in particular?
Was there a person in particular?
I mean, all the women.
In my life, honestly, I...
We have to do it. We have to make things better for the women
and the children. And I'm just tired
of the way we're being treated. So. All right.
We appreciate your time. Thank you, ma'am. Thank
you both. And that is the spirit here.
They have been celebrating all night as they have watched
the election returns live.
These people are super excited about this potential win for James
Tallarico. As Anthony said,
one of the most expensive Senate races in the country right
Right now costing a half billion.
And, of course, from the state of Texas,
James Tallarico could be the 37-year-old former educator
who could now be the next U.S. Senate.
As you can see, every time they show him on the big screen,
the crowd goes wild.
Now we're going to take it down to Dallas,
where Karis Belger is at Ken Paxton's watch party.
Karis?
Yeah, I'm at the Western Galleria here in Dallas,
where we've seen a pretty even-keeled crowd.
Waiting for the results to come, and I have to say,
despite the early numbers, people
are still very optimistic.
So a lot of people in this room
who are confident that once the final numbers come through,
they will be in favor of Paxton.
And I asked them, you know, what are some of the big issues
that are bringing them out tonight?
And of course, push them to the ballot box,
all of them saying they wanna keep the Senate
seat that is currently being held by John Cornyn in Republican control.
I've also heard talk about education concerns
and also about immigration and border security
Security, but ultimately they want to ensure that their party,
the Republican Party, remains
in power, at least in terms of controlling that Senate seat.
So of course, we're still trying
to find out what the final results will be.
We have seen those early numbers,
but you can't tell this crowd that that's going to
be the final count because they still believe
that there is more to be done before this
night is over.
So we're gonna be here all night, of course.
We're hoping to hear from Attorney General Ken Paxton
as well, but I will continue to
bring you the latest from where I am.
Of course, those results, once they have them.
In Dallas, I'm Karis Belger.
Back to you.
