All right this is one of my favorite places to get lost in. We're at the Lafayette Schoolhouse
Antique Mall and I think there is like four stories here. They've got a basement and it
just goes up and up and up full of treasures babe so let's go. So last time I was in here
they were just setting up with new vendors because it's changed ownership and now it's
looking really really full of stuff so I feel like it's gonna be a good day.
There's a frog vase in my future we have to put this in the universe right now.
I'm collecting all the colors of the rainbow now because I have four at home.
I really need to find a pink one. How do I not have a pink one yet? I think that this is a
vintage house coat and I'm pretty sure that my grandma had a couch that looked like this
or a chair in our playroom. I'll have to ask my mom to let me know but it's like this wooly
like like felty material. So funny like I swear my grandma had a chair or a couch like that with
these big wild poppies on it. This is awesome if I would have seen this when we first moved
into our house I would have wanted this. Isn't that cool? Oh my gosh wow look at the carvings
and all the hardware on here it's beautiful. Those hinges are even all detailed. It's amazing.
With the big crest at the top. Super cool and this is all stone. I wonder what kind of stone
that is that's really neat with the speckled. In the dining room and this is where I would
serve like all my homemade cooked with love meals. We'd line up the homemade pies.
Yeah right. Do you know where I am right now? This is like vintage clothing heaven.
There's look at this. Oh cute. I would totally wear this entire outfit. Look at this color
combination. That's adorable. This wasn't here last time I was in here. There's a whole room.
Oh this is so fun. Oh I'm gonna find something in here aren't I? I would totally wear this at
home on the couch. Watch my real housewives and eat popcorn in this giant pink onesie.
Yes I would. If I had Barbie on I'd probably go for it. What's this one? Oh my gosh that is so
cute. Look at that. The roses. It's not actually vintage though. It's a reproduction one but it's
really cute. It's only 35 though. When we can go on date nights again. I have a top like this I
got in Nebraska which I love by the way. It's so cute and it has all these little buttons
and it takes me like like 10-15 minutes just to button all the little buttons on the top.
I'm like out of breath by the time I finish. Oh that's cute. Oh darn it has rips on it.
I would have wanted this. Look how cute that is. Does it? Oh no it's just kind of no. You know
what you could do though is like maybe put like a brooch on it or something but look at the
bobbly things right here. That's cute. I would almost take like this chain and leave that on
here and then put a longer one on it so you could make it because normally I like to wear crossbody
bags like when we're thrifting and stuff and I would make it a crossbody bag because then it'd
cute and functional. How did? Who is this person? I'm so oh look at this one. 1930s. 1930s. Yep they
knew the 24 inch waist though. That looks like mine that I have at home. I have the one at home
that I love has big ostrich plumes and big pearls like sweeping all over in the print but I love
these 30s. It's actually like a slip but I like to wear another slip underneath these and then I
can wear it as a dress too. It's really cute. Can I just move in? Look at this. Oh but it's ripped
on the back. Not like I have anywhere to wear a prom dress but if I did like look how cute this is.
It's my color. Another reason why I love this place. That's so funny. I used to have one of
little and I'd put all my costume jewelry in it. It's so funny. I've seen this a million times. I
think it's like old Avon or something but there used to be body powder on the inside. So pretty.
This is a really cool ring. I love the shape of this like that turquoise stone itself is cut into
like a diamond pattern with sterling silver and that's really unique. I've never seen anything
like that. Okay so I'm totally getting that ring. I tried it on and it's really cool and that whole
piece is actually carved stone and it's 20% off today so I'm all over it. Can we just soak
in like how yummy this booth is right here though? Even though I'm not like a glass collector I love
look at all these candy colors. So pretty. This is part of why I like depression glass. I do have that
at home and I've been collecting it over the years and everything that I have is like mix matched
but that's what's fun about depression glass because all the colors go really beautifully
together. The one color that I'm looking for though is this really pretty like lavender
lilac color and it's really rare and it's very expensive so if you ever do see it you have to
snap it up. Maybe we'll see some in the antique mall today and I can show you what it looks like but
it's really pretty. I just want to see how cute this booth is. I'm going to try not to break
anything though. Hold my big purse to myself. That's what my mom used to tell me when I was
holding my purse like keep my arms down if we were around a booth like that.
Oh that's beautiful. It's like old art nouveau. She's $2.99. It's really pretty. These lamps
usually have like a floral shade on them like will be a little frosted glass that looks like
an iris or rose or something that would cover the bulb typically but it's really pretty. There is
what looks like a Capitamonte lamp over here. Look at this. I wonder if it is. There's no way
to tell but to like turn it over and look at it and I'm not going to do that. Oh they actually
did put Capitamonte as is. It's been repaired so somebody's dropped it somewhere probably.
That's a shame because this would be worth a lot of money if it wasn't
cracked. I see a bunch of great rings and there's a beautiful onyx cross right there.
Look at that one. Sterling with black onyx. It's really pretty. Oh is that a I bet you it is all
sterling. $75 on that rosary and the little crown. Look at the little crown. Oh we have to see that.
Let's just take the whole thing. There's some cute stuff. All right what's the number? $22.
Let's go get a planter. I don't know if it's old or not but it's all metal and it's so pretty.
I love the big arms on it and I feel like that would be like really pretty
like on the patio table even because I could put a pot in it or actually I could put the
soil right in it because it already has the drain holes. I don't know if it's old or not.
What do you think? I can't tell. It's old and crusty. That's pretty. Well she has some other
things in her booth that I like too in that case so maybe we'll do a little bundle and see what
happens. I had one of these shell boxes when I was little and my dad brought a bunch of stuff
to the dump out you know to dump from the garage and the yard and stuff and I spotted this like
where they had like all the dump stuff and back in the day they would have like a big bulldozer
and they'd shove all the stuff over and it's like do not get in here like danger don't but I saw
this treasure box and so I like I snuck down really quick and I like grabbed this treasure
box while my dad wasn't looking and it was like so greasy and dirty and I came home and like
washed it with my mom's dish soap and then I then I put all my jewels and my money in it when I was
little. I thought you were gonna say you had one when your dad threw it away. No. I sniped that out of the garbage pile.
For years. Yes. Okay there's a whole level upstairs guys. There's more. Oh I love the velvet on this.
That's so pretty. Ladies would like have these at the top of their stairs because back in the day
you'd wear like the corset and everything by the time you got to the top of the stairs
you'd be out of breath and you would almost faint and that's why they're called a fainting couch.
It's real. It's true. There are tools and rusty brown things in here. This is not my department.
It's scaring me looking at all these little baby things but look at that with the little ruffle butt.
Oh look at this one too. That's cute. Okay I'm scaring my husband.
You're afraid? Those are cute. If we had a baby I would get that. I'm gonna have the cutest little
baby. I'm just gonna dress up like a mini me. Like whenever we go out we're gonna have matching
outfits and stuff like fake fur coats and like little pearls. We're gonna do it up.
Oh my gosh this is just like my clock. Oh except they don't have the big candelabras. It's just
like it. What is this? Oh yeah it's stone. They called it a cupid clock. That's funny. Yeah it's
just like ours but mine has the big candelabras that I got at that estate sale. It's one of my
favorite finds. I still have to get the chime worked on it. When I first brought it home I
wound it up and had the most beautiful like magical chime on it and then it never chimed
again so I have to go get it tuned up and stuff. It's only 60 dollars. No I would probably leave
it like that because it would match the clock actually. Is that what you wanted? Just this
little yeah. What do you think of that? Want to get this instead of that pot?
I'm a no limit soldier. I need this. No I'm just kidding. I probably don't but I kind of do.
Look there's a koi fish fountain. You have it up on the on the balcony. That's cool. All right
we're heading back. We made our loop. I think that's gonna be so pretty in front of the fireplace.
Beautiful. We're on the last floor and I didn't think there were any treasures left and then I
saw that fireplace thing and it is so cool and I got this really neat hardware that I didn't show
you on camera either but there are these antique coat hooks with like the big hooks that come up
like a dual hook and they have these gothic gargoyle faces on them and they're really really
cool so I'm going to show you that when I get home as well. Loving the planter I got. It's gonna be
really cute. Comment below and let me know what kind of plant you think I should put in there.
Our patio is mostly like hot sun in the summertime but I was kind of picturing something spilling
over like should I do a succulent in there? I don't know. Let me know. The fireplace fender
was definitely my find of the day. I was so excited to get this out of the car and my husband
absolutely loves it too. I feel like it really ties in the candle abra set. I don't know if you
remember but I got this at an estate sale. I think it was last summer or last winter but the old brass
totally ties in and it just kind of grounds the fireplace now because it was a lot of white and
we kind of wanted to add some detailing on the mantle here anyways but now I feel like we don't
need to because this is really pretty and I couldn't believe it was $60 at the antique mall
which I really think is a bargain for such a beautiful piece and we're definitely going to
have this in our home for a really long time. I think it's really beautifully detailed. It almost
has like those French or Italian like crests or the botanicals that kind of sweep up. I don't know
exactly what those are called but has the little urns on each side and it's just really really
beautiful and elegant. I'm really really, can you tell, super excited about this one. Jumping into
the rest of my haul because the schoolhouse was so cool. It was completely packed with vendors now
and there are a lot of new ones in there that I hadn't seen last time so it was really fun to walk
around and see all the cool new stuff. I did end up taking this baby home with me. She called the
antique dealer when I was shopping to be sure that this was actually an antique because it
really fooled me. Someone must have really had this under cover or something because there isn't
a lot of rust damage and the coloring on it I guess is what really threw me the most but maybe
someone had painted this at one point but she said it was in fact old and it came with a lot
of other antiques from an estate so I just thought it was really really beautiful and it is all metal
and I love the giant handles on this. What do you think that I should plant? I know I asked you in
the car but I'm trying to figure out like if I should do a few different succulents. I might want
some height in there but maybe like a succulent that kind of trails and drips over will look
really dreamy and romantic. Let me know what you think. The same booth where I got the fireplace
fender had a whole lot of amazing hardware in it too and I spotted these underneath a table in the
booth and wait till you see these babies. They are so cool. I think that these were antique
hat hangers and I love collecting old hardware. I think it's so beautiful. These have gargoyle
faces on them. Look at that. I think I have four in the bag. I just thought these were really
beautiful because they're kind of in an antique coppery type color and it still has the extra
hardware on it to cover the bolt which is awesome. I love when everything is kept together
like this but look at that design. Isn't that neat? I think that something like this would be
really beautiful maybe in your bedroom to hang your purses on or a hat or maybe in the bathroom
would be a beautiful hook to hang a robe on or your towels. Something like that. I just think
it's so pretty. I'll probably be putting these in my March shop sale so be sure you're signing up
for my newsletter on thevintagebombshell.com because I send an announcement as soon as my
sale drops and things go really really fast so if you want to get first dibs sign up for my
newsletter. I love collecting old religious things especially like rosaries and these Santos crowns
are very hard to find because they're so little and delicate but this one I thought was really
beautiful. It has a lot of old filigree work on it and look at those sparkling jewels. I just thought
it was so pretty so that was an exciting find. Okay look at the stone on that one. Oh beautiful.
I don't think that this is turquoise. It must be a different kind of stone but I just thought this
is so pretty. These are all old pawn pieces too so they're actually vintage and then this one that I
showed you in that small jewelry case I thought was really really unique because it's all a carved
turquoise stone in this shape. I thought it was so beautiful. I don't know if you remember back in
thrift wars but I found these mid-century gazelle bookends and this brooch reminded me of that.
Look at this. It's a mid-century piece and it's actually sterling silver with a copper plating on
it. I thought was really neat and that gazelle it's like very like art deco looking even though
it's a mid-century piece. I thought it was really cool so I got that from her booth too and then
look at this. I think this is probably like from the 1970s but it's a really cool runway style
necklace with some cool filigree work and this fringe on it. I love like these kind of pieces
that are like a longer type necklace like this because they're great in the wintertime like with
a turtleneck sweater or something or even in the summertime with like a simple maxi dress I think
looks really really pretty and elegant so I couldn't leave that one behind. It's really cute.
I hope you had fun with me today shopping at that giant antique mall. It's so cool. I can't believe
that used to be a school. It's just so fun to wander around and get lost in there. Let me know
in the comments below what is your favorite find of mine. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button
