The first community on my list is Trilogy Lake Norman in Denver, NC.
It sits on approximately 604 acres of beautiful topography with a plan to have 1,100 to 1,200
homes when fully complete. Trilogy Lake Norman is in a Phase D2 with a future release of 400
to 500 home sites in the coming months. If you are thinking of building a home from scratch,
you'll have a great opportunity to select the home site of your choice at Trilogy Lake Norman
when they are released in summer 2021. Trilogy Lake Norman's resort style amenities are amazing.
It has indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, two pickleball courts, two tennis courts, two bocce
courts, walking and hiking trails, an amphitheater, fitness center, art studio, social clubs,
billiards, a poker table, the Twin Mills Clubhouse, the Foundry Bar and Restaurant,
and membership for all homeowners to the Freedom Boat Club. Trilogy Lake Norman has a lifestyle
director who organizes community events and field trips for the residents. The builder of Trilogy
Lake Norman is Shea Holmes. For more information about the home sites, floor plans, and amenities,
see my previous videos. Please check the description below for the links to those videos.
The second 55 plus community or active adult community on my list is Regency at Palisades.
This age-targeted 55 plus community is nestled on the shores of Lake Wylie and just about
30 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. An age-targeted active adult community is not age-restricted.
It is an active adult community with amenities similar to the age-restricted 55 plus communities
and open to purchase by any age. The new phase just opened about 100 lots for sale and another
30 or so will follow. Regency is a beautiful community with stunning homes built by Toll
Brothers. The amenities are indoor and outdoor pools, two tennis courts, two pickleball courts,
two bocce ball courts, a fitness center, clubhouse, social clubs, billiards, and game room, and on-site
lake access for kayaking, fishing, and other water sports. With membership, you can enjoy the golf at
the Palisades Country Club Jack Nicklaus Design Golf Course just down the road. I have the link
to this wonderful community in the description below. Check it out!
The third community I'd recommend is the only waterfront 55 plus community in the Charlotte
area. It is the imagery on Mountain Island Lake in Mount Holly, just a few minutes from Charlotte
Douglas International Airport in Uptown Charlotte. Lenar Homes is the builder at this lovely community
and is selling only inventory homes. These are new construction homes from 1,620 to
2,868 square feet, mostly one-story and a one-and-a-half-story homes. They are selling
so fast, so hurry if you want to live in a community that is so close to nature and has
awesome amenities. Image Reed on Mountain Island Lake has a clubhouse, fitness center,
two pickleball courts, two tennis courts, multiple cabins for pottery, painting, sewing,
and library, an outdoor pool, walking and hiking trails, pocket parks with water views, and a
private lakeside beach. Future amenities will include private boat and paddleboat launch sites
and boat slips. The links for this community's amenities, site map, and homes available for sale
are in the description below. Check them out. The fourth 55-plus community on my list is
Crestwind Charlotte, east of Uptown Charlotte, which is just 25 minutes away and less than 30
minutes from South Park Mall and the airport. It is just a few minutes from shopping,
dining, and downtown Mint Hill. The builder of this community is Coulter Homes, featuring
charming craftsman-style architecture and a range of customizable options. The Crestwind
clubhouse offers 55-plus residents a place to gather and participate in social activities
facilitated by a full-time lifestyle director. Crestwind has indoor and outdoor pools,
four pickleball courts, two tennis courts, two bocce ball courts, an 18,000-square-feet clubhouse,
fitness center, meeting rooms, walking and biking trails, a game room, an arts and crafts room,
a demonstration kitchen, and fireplace and grilling courtyard. Fifth on my list is not
a single community, but many by Epcon Communities, offering opportunities to build at a number of
neighborhoods in the Charlotte area. Epcon Communities is a premier builder of 55-plus
active adult communities, featuring luxury ranch homes, offering signature private outdoor
courtyards. There are several neighborhoods in the Charlotte area that offer homesites for you
to choose from. They are the Courtyards of Poplar Tent in Concord, the Courtyards at Eastfield Farm
in Huntersville next to the Skybrook neighborhood, the Courtyards at Wesley Chapel, and the Courtyards
on Lawyers Road in Stallings. There are several other Courtyards communities in the area that
are already sold out and just selling resale. The links for resales are in the description below.
The great features that I really like about Epcon Communities homes is that each one has a beautiful
courtyard that offers full outdoor privacy. When you buy a home in an Epcon Community,
you will enjoy a low-maintenance lifestyle. You don't have to worry about mowing your lawn.
Just relax at the pool, play pickleball or tennis court with your family and friends.
And here's some exciting news. There are three locations that are coming soon. The Courtyards
on Robinson Church in Concord, the Courtyards at Menhill in Matthews, and the Courtyards on
Chestnut Lane in Stallings. Epcon is still finalizing the details for these neighborhoods.
