Snow is piling up in the Philadelphia suburbs in Montgomery County.
There are snow covered roads across King of Prussia.
The action came out this afternoon as drivers took it slow as they navigated the snowy conditions.
Action News reporter Chad Podelli joins us live on Swedesford Road in King of Prussia with the very latest.
Yeah Walter, we have a little bit of that sleet, some of that freezing rain right now.
It's a light, steady sleet.
It's not too bad.
Really it's the cold and wind that's the most annoying out here.
I want to take a look at Swedesford Road right here.
You can see much of the heavy snow has already been plowed off.
You still have a layer of snow, which is good.
That allows for some traction.
Now, like you said, we've been throughout King of Prussia for most of the afternoon.
We were on Route 202 and we were seeing all sorts of cars spinning out, getting stuck here earlier in the day.
We saw that on the Schuylkill Expressway.
We saw it on DeKalb Pike.
And people were having issues traveling, especially if you didn't have four-wheel drive.
We also ran into a gentleman from Valley Forge who drove from Boston back home here today during the height of the storm.
Now you drove from Boston.
We drove from Boston, yeah.
What was the drive like?
It wasn't bad until you hit Connecticut.
And then it was, New York City was pretty bad.
A lot of closed roads, stuck trucks.
Had to go around.
And then everything was fine until you hit plows.
You got really slow on plows.
But it was okay.
Just keep straight, don't hit the brakes.
You got four-wheel drive?
Four-wheel drive, yeah.
Yeah, you couldn't do it with two-wheel drive.
And you're looking out here live.
You can see the crews are busy at work clearing some of these parking lots in King of Prussia, the mall, and some of these shopping centers.
They are getting after it, getting this snow, packing it into piles.
And it'll have to eventually melt.
But they're out here working hard.
And I talked to PennDOT just a short time ago.
They tell me they haven't had any serious problems.
People are heeding their advice, have been staying off the roadways and allowing their crews to get to work, get these roads cleared for Monday.
And they're going to be busy all day into tomorrow clearing some of these shoulders and other parts of the road.
So take it easy out there.
Drive slow and think of them.
For now, live in King of Prussia, Chad Frodelli, Channel 6 Action News.
Back to you guys.
Yeah, so right.
I'm thinking of them.
They've got work to do.
And we can get out of their way for sure.
All right, Chad, thanks.
A lot of work to do.
