Snow has lightened in intensity, strong gusts continue

The snow has gotten a lot lighter. It looks a lot worse when you're looking out your window because, as you mentioned, we are dealing with that wind and Brian Lapis is here, Brian. And you know, we're seeing this out here. You know the snow is coming down, but every once in awhile we get a really big gust here and that you know it really reduces the visibility. Yeah, I think we're dealing with what will be a moderate snowstorm for us here in the in the Valley, but a fairly ferocious round of wind. The good news here, I I think is that we're going to get deeper into the afternoon. The snow is going to start to taper off a little bit and the wind will be a little bit behind the snow in terms of. It's going to take a little while longer for the wind gusts to subside, but things are going to gradually improve between now and about 4 o'clock here this afternoon. But in the meantime, you know if you don't have to go out, suppose you should probably stay home. Dunkin Donuts is open. The buddy twins got you a nice cup of coffee. That was very nice of them. They got me a nice coffee after it's been a long night and morning. And from what we can tell, mass DOT and the local DPW crews are doing a heroic job of keeping roads passable. But part of the reason why that's happening is that people are obeying the parking bans and people. The traffic is very light and it's helping to to allow those plows the freedom to do what they gotta do, right? And you know the other thing too is, you know this is a lot different than that last snowstorm we had. In the fact that the temperatures are a little bit closer to normal. Closer to freezing, yeah, so it's a more heavy wet snow. Of course that was that fluffy snow that real piled up, right? But you know we are dealing with these winds that are gusting over 3040 mph at times, so it's giving us that windshield. So if you're going to be heading out to do some shoveling, I Chris was mentioning the fact that the windshields are making it feel like it's only in the teens out there. So temperature maybe 3032 degrees, but it feels a lot colder than that. So bundle up if you're heading out to shovel snow blow or clean off that car. For sure, just another day in the office.
