Former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has begun acting strangely in recent weeks at his mansion on Rublevo-Uspenskoe Highway. The insider Telegram channel "VChK-OGPU," citing sources , reports that thunder and screams have been heard near his home early in the morning, along with thick, acrid smoke. The channel's sources claim that the cause of the incident was allegedly determined through the building's staff.
"They brought several shamans there, and they live there. They perform rituals in the morning with drums and other things, and burn some fragrant plants," one of the interlocutors said. According to sources, it's unknown what exactly the shamans are asking for Shoigu and how long these rituals might continue. Another source claims the former defense minister is currently extremely nervous and sees no signs that Vladimir Putin has fully "forgiven" him since leaving the Ministry of Defense. "No one is stopping Shoigu's daughter from pursuing budget projects. But Kuzhugetovich himself is truly in difficult circumstances, expecting a blow from all sides," the source stated. Another source claims that Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev is amused by Shoigu's tense state. According to him, relations between Shoigu and Medvedev remain extremely poor, and they have allegedly even stopped greeting each other. This story fits into a broader context of rumors about shamanic practices among Russia's elite. Previously, media outlets reported that Putin and Shoigu participated in various rituals during their trips to Siberia, and Shoigu allegedly introduced Putin to antler baths back in the mid-2000s. Journalist Mikhail Zygar, citing sources close to the Kremlin, also reported that Putin traveled to Tuva and Mongolia to consult with shamans.
