AI GeneratedMeteorologist Noah Bergeron warns of a significant weather shift this weekend. A fall cold front arriving Saturday will bring a sharp drop in temperatures, strong wind gusts up to 45 mph, and dangerous 12-foot waves with rip currents. While Friday will remain hot and humid with evening thunderstorms, the weekend will transition to cooler, windier, and clearer conditions.
If you're heading to Disney or to the beach, really, this weekend,
brace yourself for some rough surf out at the beach.
We're anticipating wind gusts up to 45 miles an hour,
12-foot waves along with it.
And Noah Bergeron, meteorologist Noah Bergeron, is back here now.
Yeah, Noah, we could see some dangerous rip currents out there as well.
Especially Sunday.
It's going to be very rough out there.
By the way, I should add, I love that segment.
I know, right?
She did a good job.
Just give me a hot dog, I'll set a magic.
You guys should sing.
That's all the time.
Oh, you don't want to hear me sing.
I don't want to do it.
Oh, no, nobody would be coming for that.
There's the view right now from Melbourne, 84.
A little bit of a breeze.
Notice the palms are blowing, but not too bad.
It's going to be really whipping out there,
though, this weekend into early next week.
And the reason why is because we have our next fall front.
It comes through Saturday midday,
and then once it comes through, the winds switch to the north,
and it gets windy and a lot cooler.
All right, so those wind gusts out there right now
are about 5 to 15 miles an hour.
Not too bad, but they really pick up Saturday.
Temperatures right now, low 80s at the beaches, mid-80s,
Orlando, upper 80s once you work your way inland.
about 89 right now in the villages 90 is the number
in Tampa 88 in Sebring some rain in Fort
Myers a rain cooled 79 there
but it's humid everywhere summer level humidity from I-4 in
south especially south Florida really tropical air mass
is still in place for the time of year
however changes are coming we have two cold fronts
in the middle of the country in fact behind them
freeze watches and freeze warnings first of the season
that'll mark the end of the growing season
for the middle part of the country where they're
expecting temperatures down into the 20s and 30s
over the next couple of mornings
and these fronts are water coming here for the weekend now we're
not expecting obviously a freeze here
but the temperatures are going to come way down some
storms and showers tonight in south florida
and southwest florida but not a lot here right now
on the high res visible satellite you can see
the bigger clouds by Fort Myers and around our area
just a couple of fair weather cumulus clouds
as we call them moving on by across the sky kind of
like that. The Simpson sky, if you will,
just the perfect puffy balls of cumulus clouds
zipping on by. All right, so out the door Friday,
a bit warmer, a few clouds, 74 at 6, near 80 at 9.
Clouds build by noon, and it's a hotter day tomorrow,
feeling more like early September,
late August than the mid of October.
Let me walk you through the future cast for the morning,
humid, partly cloudy. As soon as 1 o'clock,
we'll start to bubble up some showers.
Here's 3:30. Notice we got some showers around Seminole County,
over towards Brevard. Now,
I do expect the evening commute, there will
be several thunderstorms out there, not showers, thunderstorms,
generally right ahead of a cold front
when it's really hot or humid relative to average.
You get an easy atmosphere to produce thunderstorms,
and that will be the case Friday.
So here's 5 o'clock, rain in Volusia County, rain by the theme parks.
Notice how it grows, so it's not just like one
or two storms, then boom, it's gone.
6:30 on Friday, still some rain around Orlando, Kissimmee, some
lightning could impact at least the first quarter of a couple football
games around Seminole over towards Orange County and Osceola County.
Here's 7:30, maybe a few lingering showers through 10 in Brevard,
but you get the idea. It's mostly late afternoon, early evening.
Now here comes the front Saturday, made it nice and big for you to see.
So the winds are from the south ahead of the front.
A couple of showers with the front late morning and midday.
By 2, the winds behind the front are coming from the northwest.
So the winds kick up right behind the front.
Notice 2 o'clock Saturday,
a couple of thundershowers in Brevard or southern Volusia.
But the trend will be for the showers to move away.
But it's still not a lot.
I mean, Saturday, it's very far from a washout.
The rain is not a super big impact Saturday.
Here's 6 o'clock.
Notice a couple of lingering showers.
But the clouds are still there.
and then things will likely start
to really clear once we go into Saturday overnight
and then on into Sunday morning.
And you can see there go those showers
and storms I just showed you Saturday morning.
All right, so 91 tomorrow, 81 Saturday.
Big drop in the temperature, just 78 on Sunday.
A little brighter on Sunday, very rough.
The winds again, 35, 45-mile-an-hour gusts,
and that continues all of next week.
Now, the rain chances next week are not high.
just a couple of sprinkles a couple
of light showers possible each day the winds and the
rough surf those are the headlines for us heading
into next week i'll tell you where it's very nice
though is this camera
which is not banned not canada today oh we have a wide array of opinion
today this is a tough one
because i think there are bodies of water in all three places i'm not
sure about south carolina those look like georgia trees
to me i'm gonna go georgia i'm gonna go
alabama just because it's my home state noah what say you
no roll tie let's go alabama all right
let's see it yay home of the unclaimed baggage center
that is a very fascinating place have you
ever heard of that no what is it people
who don't claim their baggage when your bags get lost on
the airlines they end up in bags they end up
in scottsboro alabama i'll go there yep from every
airline i believe so yeah what do they
do there they eventually you can go buy people's unclaimed
stuff. I learned something new. There you go.
We actually have an unclaimed thing here, too,
at OIA. They have the sales and the auctions.
Wow, well, it's competing with that one. I'm
intrigued. We didn't even get to the other fun facts,
but that's fun enough. That was a pretty
fun fact. All the time you get. Yeah. Okay, well, no, thank you.
