Pittsburgh, by the way, as we're following the bouncing ball,
that's a nice sell, I think, on Pittsburgh right now.
Pittsburgh's not good either.
But they've now won two games in a row, one in overtime,
one against the Saints, who played like crap.
So get ready to start fading Pitt.
That would be my advice.
And they played the Browns this week.
So now all of a sudden we've got a divisional matchup
between two teams that is – can I make the argument
that now's the time to sell on the Browns?
that's the problem so we're gonna sell
a hard yeah you're right you're right can't do it that's
right give me a different game i'll find another game
for you at the end of the week can they end
in a tie craig is that possible there with the browns
and the steelers uh it's kind of laughable
and then here you go with the bangles sitting at four
and two it no Lamar no Ravens for me i think
you and i agree on that until they can figure out if he's healthy
or not healthy there's no way you
can beat them but if that second half Joe uh Joe Burrow
and company if we get that Craig
by the way he hasn't been sacked a ton this year at all
so they're keeping him upright which is
fantastic if they can keep doing that uh
the defense i mean listen they were bend don't break
in the first half but uh they were downright just you weren't moving
the ball at all in the second
half Baltimore i don't know i mean are we sleeping
on them that team can score 40 points on anybody
I think I truly think when healthy
and upright uh Joe Burrow is uh is one of the best quarterbacks
in the in the league with that version
of him yesterday that's what I want to see from the
Bengals moving forward right
but then you know Cincinnati minus three and a half uh in Pittsburgh
and Pittsburgh wins the game outright a couple weeks ago you know
so that that's that's sort of
issue with Cincinnati is that you want to believe like
this is the look honestly on paper Joe you're
100 right this is the best chance the Bengals have had
this is it this is the best since Burrow took
the team the super bowl in 20
or 21 whatever that was this is it you look at you look at the
division you say okay look you they're the best built
their guys are healthy the defense is good
the offense is good but the second the bengals win a couple in a row
and then they become a four
point favorite over someone on the road and then they lose
and then you're like wait a second here
they lost again but to your point it would seem to be the year
but until what you said at the
beginning is really the point here like
and really we should just emphasize it until when Lamar
Jackson comes back we can start analyzing this again
because until then it's it's really he can
be the MVP every year but when he comes back
and he plays we'll get a better idea for uh for what
this is certainly i i don't expect pittsburgh
as good as they are to be there in the end i don't
expect cleveland as good as they are to be in the end
but the truth is is that cleveland has banked
a lot of wins and all they really have
to do when you think about it is probably go 500 the rest of
the way cleveland makes the playoffs
so they're they're right there to do it but here's the
problem they got the the young tight end Concepcion
they got Boston they have a lot of young guys that
are delivering that i didn't see it but they're winning
because of defense uh i mean that might
be the best defense because no offense to Lamar Jackson.
Lamar Jackson doesn't play defense.
You know, Hendrickson was in that game.
How do you allow Burrow to come out there and light you
up for 35 points and a half? Right. How is that?
Where is that defense with Baltimore? At least
the Browns have a legit defense and they got young weapons.
It's defense at some point in that
division come december has got to matter right
because that's you got to win goal you got to
win games when it's minus 13 don't you
at some point there Greg, it is, it's true but again
not to pour water on it
but uh the one the reason yes it's true the reason why they've won
is the defense but their kicker their kicker's
also but their kicker's been perfect he's kicked
every game winning field goal four weeks in a row
for three weeks in a row Joe that's a little
variance that tends to turn not that he misses one
but but odds are end of the game you win
every one at the end of the game that tends to turn at some point
and you start losing some
close games uh even point that i was making
on the rams how the rams lost all those close games
they're just bound to start winning some even
if they're not as good as we thought they were
going to be and i think that that will normalize
a little bit remember cleveland joe could play
another good game next week and lose 19 17
17 so some of that stuff will turn and then the other the
other the other part of this too
is that in the playoffs uh yes cleveland's defense if they had
a first game and their first game was at home uh
and and they were playing against i don't know some
some team in the west or something not kansas
and maybe denver could you see cleveland beating
denver of course you could
but but then after that you know buffalo's gonna score 40 and that's
gonna be it you know like that that but but cleveland
to their credit biggest surprise of
the year for me, Cleveland, without a doubt.
