Hi guys, it's Carly. Today I have another collaboration video with you. Today I'm
teaming up with Red Ted Art again and this time we're making something pokeball themed.
So Maggie's going to be making these really cool like paper mache pokeballs that you can play with
so if you want to learn how to make those check out Maggie's channel. I'll leave a link in the
description box down below. Red Ted Art is an awesome kids craft channel and Maggie does all
sorts of things on the channel so you're bound to find something you'll really enjoy. Now I'm going
to show you how to make these awesome cake pop pokeballs but these are a little bit different
from normal cake pops. There's no cake in them. I'm actually using Oreos and it's going to be
like an Oreo truffle inside. They taste amazing and you will definitely, definitely love them.
So the first thing you need to do is blitz up your Oreos in a food processor until they reach like a
fine crumb. Now I'm using the chocolate stuffed Oreos here because I think it tastes better with
like the truffles that I'm trying to make. Once you've done this you can mix it with some shop
bought chocolate fudge icing. Now I'm using Betty Crocker's here. I really like the taste of this
icing and I think it makes really lovely truffles so if you can I would definitely use Betty Crocker's.
You want to mix it all up until it reaches like a stiff paste. Now I'm not going to give like a
strict recipe for this and strict quantities. I think it's important to kind of judge the
consistency for yourself so pinch it between your fingers. You should be able to roll it into a ball
very easily. If you can't roll it into a ball and it's going like crumbly you need more of the
chocolate icing. If it's a bit too sticky you'll need more Oreos. You've got to kind of judge it
for yourself but also it depends on like how hot your room is and everything so you have to kind of
take all of those factors into consideration when you're making your ball. Once you've made your balls
you'll need to chill them in the fridge for 20 minutes. Once they've chilled you can dip your
sticks in white candy melts and push these into the balls. These will then need to be chilled again
for another 10 minutes and once they're chilled you can take them out and you can dip them in
your white candy melts. Now I've added some vegetable oil to my candy melts just to thin
the mixture out a little bit and this also helps to give like a smooth a smoother finish on the
cake pop. Once you've dipped all your cake pops you can leave them to set completely. So today I'm
also making the love ball, the master ball and the ultra ball. You can make any that you want
though so I need red, pink, purple and like a grey candy melt colours to like half dip. Now I'm using
candy colour to get these specific colours because you can't really buy these colours pre-made
and I'll leave a link in the description box down below so you can buy some of that if you wish.
Then dip your cake pop in halfway again so that you can get the colour of your pokey ball
again. Leave this to set completely and then you can just finish off by piping the details on. On
each of the balls you'll need to pipe a black line around the middle and also push in a little white
sweep to make the white middle and that's all there is to it. These are pretty easy to make
and they look really effective though. I'm really pleased with how they turned out.
