It's great that you are back.
We continue with the big topic of food is medicine
and with the fact that at least 70% of diseases are actually nutritional
and that actually all diseases of civilization are affected by healthy nutrition.
And today I am dealing with cardiovascular diseases
or also the so-called cardiovascular diseases.
Under cardiovascular diseases,
diseases of the heart and blood vessels are summarized.
Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death
with about 18 million worldwide deaths per year.
In Germany, about 340,000 people die every year from these cardiovascular diseases,
so almost 1,000 people per day.
By the way, there are a little more women than men
and about half of them are younger than 70 years.
The causes of cardiovascular diseases are diverse
and can be divided into influential but also into non-influential risk factors.
The non-influential risk factors include age, gender
and even the genetic composition.
However, the genetic composition is much lower than previously assumed.
Now it will be interesting for you to count the influential risk factors.
The high blood pressure that occurs, of course, also includes nutrition.
You can influence your increased cholesterol levels,
your diabetes, your overweight, smoking, your lack of movement,
excessive alcohol consumption and, of course,
air pollution, depending on where you are.
These are all factors that you can influence.
Nutrition plays a central role in preventing cardiovascular diseases,
because a lot more than half of the cardiovascular-related deaths
go back to an unbalanced diet.
But you could also say that they go back to an unhealthy diet.
Men are more likely to be affected by cardiovascular diseases
in their younger years.
Women, on the other hand, are only affected from the age of 50.
And that's why there is this difference.
To prevent cardiovascular diseases,
a low consumption of animal products,
but also of salt, as well as an increased consumption of plant foods,
i.e. whole grain products, fruit, vegetables,
nuts, herbs, salads, vegetables, green vegetables.
It's all part of it. It's so wonderful.
But I've already made so many videos about it.
You already know a lot about it, hopefully.
By the way, the exchange of saturated fatty acids,
which you absorb because you eat animal products,
through complex carbohydrates and unsaturated fatty acids,
significantly reduces the cardiovascular risk factors.
And also mortality.
Trans-fatty acids also have extremely negative effects on blood fats
and circulating inflammatory markers.
Trans-fatty acids are heated fats,
which actually also play a huge role in the inflammation process of the body,
in the silent inflammations, i.e. those that occur very unnoticed,
and which then lead to the diseases I'm talking about today.
These trans-fatty acids are also found in dairy products,
in meat, in fast food, in pizza and also in burgers.
They are also found in baked goods, such as croissants, Berliner,
in cookies, as well as in snacks, such as crisps, potato chips and popcorn.
Well, that's just the way it is.
A high sugar intake, of course, also facilitates fat metabolism
and an excessive consumption of foods with a high amount of salt
and saturated fatty acids is associated with an increased risk factor
for cardiovascular diseases in absolute connection.
And like with all civilizational diseases,
the onset of cardiovascular diseases with their outbreak
is already years to decades back.
Even with children aged 10 years,
they already show first signs of deposition in the vessels
when they have grown up mainly with industrially modified food.
Yes, and that's why, please, there are all the instructions you can do
under the video and, of course, also very exciting literature sources,
which actually also prove what I just said.
Nice to have you with us today.
Stay healthy, be good to yourself.
If you want more videos, you can do it here.
And since this is a picture of a disease that many have or will have,
please share this video.
That would be super nice of you.
Thank you very much.
See you next time.
Bye.
