Allin Sorenson is a photographer, educator, and choral musician whose work explores quiet spaces of presence, memory, and passage. His photographs emerge from slow observation, and a sustained interest in thresholds, corridors, sanctuaries, natural passages, and fragile living forms where stillness invites deeper attention.

Sorenson’s creative practice is shaped by a lifetime of listening: to music, to place, and to the quiet persistence of the natural world. His work reflects a contemplative approach to photography as an act of noticing rather than capturing, attending to what lingers, what witnesses, and what remains.

He is a Professor of Music at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, where he is widely recognized for his work in voice, choral studies, and arts education. His musical career includes international performance and conducting throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States.

These photos represent Sorenson’s continuing exploration of photography as an invitation to slow down, remain, and recognize the sacred presence often overlooked in everyday life.
