Video Summary
AI GeneratedWisconsin is currently experiencing an unusually warm and pleasant weather streak, including a record-breaking high of 87 degrees yesterday. However, a cold front is moving in, bringing a transition toward cooler temperatures, increased cloud cover, and upcoming rain showers later in the week.
All right, let's take a live look outside
because is this the best streak of weather
we've ever had in Wisconsin in the history of earth?
Yes, I know it's a bold statement.
It really has been so nice, Ben.
In fact, I was looking back because we have some rain in our
forecast, but I was looking back.
We had a seven day dry stretch from October 2nd to the 8th. It's
just the temperatures, especially last week.
It was a little cooler. They were perfect. But then
we got a little blast of heat, so we're not done with it.
And it's still humid and hot today
compared to what we should be right
and a 10 degree drop compared to yesterday which is
notable but yes we are going to see much cooler temperatures
in the days ahead so even today
we need to take advantage of number one the sun
and number two the 70s now at 72 in milwaukee
lake breeze has kicked in elsewhere
though temperatures are in the mid 70s waukesha 75
look at kenosha 78 watertown right around 76 degrees
and we will continue to see you know
mild temperatures the next couple of hours
but then overnight tonight gradually begin to drop
temperatures right now as we just talked about
a good 10 to 15 degrees cooler than yesterday
that just goes to show how hot yesterday really
was and just to recap if you missed it yesterday's
high temperature of 87 shattered the previous record of 83 degrees
and look at the heat down
south out ahead of the cold front now
the cold front has moved through our area we'll really
feel it tomorrow and the rest of the week
but look at out ahead of it that warmth we had yesterday
now down in places like indianapolis look
at st louis it's 93 degrees kansas city also in the
upper 80s but then you look behind the frontal boundary
and this is a back to reality view as
you see across Minnesota and the Dakotas with a mixture of 40s 50s
and 60s as you look at places
like Sioux Falls the cold front has passed
although it's worth mentioning that it's stalled
in northern Illinois. That's still going to keep
a little bit of moisture in our area through the
evening through the night.
We're starting to see some showers across southern Minnesota as well as
northern Iowa both of which moving towards the northeast.
We have the chance to see that activity
closer to 9 or 10 p.m. So again we're still clear we're still dry
for now but we'll really watch
this activity out towards the west.
Once again even this cluster with which earlier had some
lightning in it and it may still at this point moving northeast
so that would more so cut across
some of our northern communities
but we'll see if anything else develops that could bring us a
chance for just a couple showers maybe a rumble
of thunder later on tonight let's check in with
SkyVision Plus so clear skies for now
but then as we get closer to about 9 p.m we could see some
of that rain maybe a rumble of thunder moving through
into about midnight waking up dry
Wednesday morning but tomorrow I do think we'll see more cloud cover.
It could very well end up
being a pretty overcast day. I'm not expecting the rain.
I am expecting the cloud cover. Different
story for Thursday. Thursday is actually going
to bring in yet another storm system and that's
going to bring in a steadier batch of rain.
Maybe not right at the beginning. This is 6-7 a.m. but
notice how the rain really fills in by the second half of Thursday.
So afternoon and evening looking
pretty soggy. We could
also have just a few lingering showers the first half of Friday but
then later in the day we'll start to see decreasing clouds
and eventually sunshine throughout the
weekend. But just know temperatures are looking cooler.
There's a lot of changes in the next
couple of days. Six-day planner showing cloud cover tomorrow,
low 60s, then rain showers for
Thursday. Friday is going to be a windy
and much cooler day and then chilly Saturday morning, Ben.
we could see frost across some of our inland areas.
