Fans disappointed after Rays game postponed

There were a lot of disappointed fans leaving the Trop tonight when that news came down, but all was not lost. Fans still got to have some cool experiences while waiting for the call. Fox 13's Brianna Arredondo is live at the Trop tonight. Brianna, a lot of waiting around out there tonight. Yeah, there really was, you know, but in the end, these fans were disappointed and even saying boo Cleveland at one point at the end of the night. But there's really not much that you can do about Mother Nature, right? So while they were waiting to see exactly how this night was going to play out, though, they did get to do some pretty fun activities, and it looked like they were all having a good time. There were activities out here for kids like balloons and face painting. Plus, we saw mascots DJ Kitty and Raymond come out to say hi to the fans as well. And there was also an area for playing catch out in the field, and that seemed to be a pretty big draw for tonight as fans were just waiting around and also just spending some time with their kids. So, I did speak with a couple of dads about what it meant for them to be able to be out there with their kids throwing the ball on the same field as the Rays. And they were pretty good-natured about the game getting postponed as well. I'm hoping a lot, right? As a dad, you want to give them opportunities to do things that maybe you didn't get to. So, I'm hoping one day they'll look back and remember all the cool stuff they got to do. Exactly. We were actually joking in the gift shop because there was like a ring slicker in there. I'm like, well, you know, we're ready for Cleveland, I guess, if we have to. So, it was fun. Yeah, and the Rays fans did get to eat and drink and just kind of hang out for a few hours tonight. I did speak with some fans, of course, who were disappointed, and they're just kind of wondering to wait and see what's going to happen as we head into the weekend. But all in all, you know, they did try to make the best of it. I say understandable, but hey, worse ways to spend a Friday night than tossing around the baseball at the Trop. I know there were tickets to tonight's watch party. What happens with those? Yeah, so the Rays did make an announcement before everyone left. They said that everyone is going to get a complimentary general admission ticket for tomorrow's watch party, and then whatever ticket they paid for tonight will be honored for Sunday's watch party.
