Hello, this is Sohnews with a new perspective on international issues.
I'm here to tell you about the global village news on September 21.
The U.S. Central Bank's Federal Reserve System has frozen its September-based interest rates,
but has opened up the possibility of additional interest rates this year.
On the 20th, the U.S. Federal Reserve System announced that it would not raise interest rates in September,
and said that interest rates would be expected to rise once before the end of the year.
In addition to the possibility of additional interest rates,
it is expected that the high interest rate environment will continue,
and the New York Stock Exchange has closed down.
The interest rate in the U.S. is currently the highest in 22 years.
Most interest rate officials predicted that the interest rate would reach 4.38% to 4.62% in 2024.
Twelve interest rate officials expect one more increase in interest rates in the future,
and seven predict that there will be no increase in interest rates in the future.
At the press conference on the same day, Chairman Jerome Powell said that
maintaining the existing interest rate does not mean that the Fed has achieved its call policy goal,
and that it can increase interest rates at the right time.
Chairman Powell said that more than one increase in interest rates this year will not determine the outcome of the economy,
and that the Fed will make a careful decision,
and that it is possible to avoid economic stagnation,
but lowering inflation is the main goal at the moment.
In July, Yeon-joon, who described the increase in jobs as drastic,
pointed out that job creation is still on the rise in this election,
but it has declined for the past few months.
This is a sign that Yeon-joon can positively interpret
in terms of overcoming inflation by reflecting the decline in the labor market.
After Yeon-joon's announcement, investors expressed concerns about additional interest rates.
The U.S. bond yield in the second year of the U.S.
has declined to the highest level since 2006, and the technical index has also fallen.
In addition, the U.S. stock market has fallen by 1% compared to the previous high
due to concerns that energy demand will be limited due to the deterioration of the economy.
On the other hand, the U.S. consumer psychology is not optimistic due to the influence of high interest rates.
In a recent government survey conducted by CNBC,
69% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the economy,
and this is the highest level in 17 years.
However, this year, Yeon-joon is looking at the growth rate of the U.S.
This year, the total domestic production grew by 2.1%,
and it is expected to double by June,
so officials predict that the U.S. economy will not fall into a short-term stagnation.
The U.S. September interest rate has frozen,
and it is expected that the high interest rate will continue for a while with Yeon-joon's goal of catching inflation.
